He advises and implements solutions for financial institutions on risk relating to
Fraud, the US Patriot Act, BSA/Money Laundering, GLBA and Sarbanes-Oxley. Mr. Knowles
provides guidance and solutions in identifying, analyzing and mitigating operational
risks relating to existing and new implementations such Internet Banking, CRM, ERP,
ASP, etc. Mr. Knowles works directly with CIOs, CSOs and IT Directors in Information
Security Governance that include Policy Development; Roles and Responsibilities; Development
of security and control framework that consists of standards, measures, practices
and procedures; Assisting in the Implementation; Establishing monitoring measures
to ensure ongoing compliance with policy, standards and minimum acceptable security

Ms. Herold is Vice President, Privacy and Regulatory Services and Chief
Privacy Officer for DelCreo, Inc., an enterprise risk management company that assists
risk professionals justify and obtain budget backing and the resources and management
attention necessary to make their programs successful. Ms. Herold has over 15 years
of experience in privacy and security services. Ms. Herold's book "The Privacy Papers"
was published in December 2001 and she is currently co-authoring a "The Practical
Guide to HIPAA Security and Privacy Compliance" that will be published by Auerbach
in 2003. Ms. Herold has also written several chapters covering privacy and security
for a variety of security and privacy management books. Ms. Herold created the content
for the NetIQ HIPAA VPC module, and created the security and privacy risk assessment
for PrivaPlan. Ms. Herold authors a monthly privacy column in the Computer Security
Institute Alert newsletter. Ms. Herold has written numerous magazine and newsletter
articles on information security and privacy topics and has given numerous presentations
at conferences and seminars. Ms. Herold has a B.S. in Math and Computer Science and
an M.A. in Computer Science and Education. Ms.Herold is a Certified Information Systems
Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and
a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI). Ms. Herold has been a member of
the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) since 1990 and has held
all board positions throughout her membership in the Iowa chapter. Ms. Herold is a
charter member of the Iowa Infragard chapter that was formed in 2000, and an active
member of the International Association of Privacy Officers (IAPO). In addition, Ms.

Bob Towle is a published author in the area of MS SQL Server. He possesses
over 25 years of experience in managing computer professionals in the development
of high-visibility, high-volume computer software on virtually all platforms.
His early career dealt with him designing and managing software development for Air
Express International (now AEI Danzas) and Emery Worldwide (now Emery CF). He was
the Director of I/T for 3M Corporation's Advertising Division from 1986 - 1996. Then
in 1996 he moved to Houston to take over the position of Vice President MIS, followed
by CTO at Eagle Global Logistics. He is the co-holder of a U.S. Patent Pending software
product called Eagle Advisor which enables customers of EGL to monitor all of their
freight and logistics traffic domestically and internationally. This product won the
1999 Microsoft Excellence Award and is now in its 4th version release. He is
also now the co-owner and CTO for Concordant Systems, Inc.; a Kingwood,
TX based software development firm that specializes in Microsoft .NET technologies.
Since with Business Security Solutions, Mr. Towle has focused his attention on the
installation, integration, and deployment of all of the security products offered
by BSS. His knowledge of these products and how they integrate with the Microsoft

Nilson Dasilva provides extensive experience with Network Security.
With over 11 years in network security design, implementation and support, Mr. Dasilva
brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Business Security Solutions. Mr. Dasilva
has worked for some of the larger Fortune 500 companies in the United States, including
Shell Oil, where, as part of the security team, he helped develop the security policies
that are still in place today. Mr. Dasilva worked with literally hundreds of security
platforms and devices while at Shell Oil, including Cisco PIX and Check Point firewalls,
Websense 4.x and 5.x filtering, Netcache and MS Proxy servers and many others. In
the eight and half years Mr. Dasilva was at Shell, he earned various certifications
including the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and the Certified Information
Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Now, in his continuing work in the security
arena, Mr. Dasilva has earned his Websense Certified Systems Engineer (WCSE), and
is currently a consultant to Business Security Solutions, LLC. |
